Facebook Group Checklist

simple checklist to building, managing and growing
your Facebook group.

Planning:

Create a content plan. Decide on what topics you’ll
cover and how often you’ll post.

Create your Facebook rules. Decide if people can
promote and if so, when. Include a list of general
rules provided by Facebook.

Create a catchy group name that speaks to your
udience.

Keep it short and simple but incorporate relevant
keywords into the title.

Create a detailed group description. Highlight why
people should join your group and how they benefit.
Keep it interesting and include another main keyword.

Create a list of questions that potential members must
answer in order to be approved to join. Make sure they
are relevant to your group topic.

Post an announcement that includes a link to your
squeeze or landing page and encourage new members to
subscribe to your list.

Upload an attention-grabbing group cover photo. Make
sure it’s properly sized and looks great on mobile devices.

Growing:

Create events that foster engagement.

Schedule one Live Video a month.

Upload important files or documents that include guides,
short reports or a FAQ.

Add your Facebook group URL to your email signatures,
landing pages, blogs and other sales funnels in order to
drive traffic to your group.

Keep an eye on your metrics. Use Facebook group insights
to determine your level of engagement, growth and activity.
