Who, What, Why?
Group Domination (2 of 7)
Hey there,
The Who, What and Why of your Facebook group will
serve as the entire foundation for your marketing
strategy and how effective youâll be at engaging with
your audience and creating a community that people
flock to every day.
Who:
Knowing your audience is essential when it comes to
being successful online, regardless what niche market
youâre involved in. You need to know what makes people tick,
what they are most interested in, passionate about, worried
about, and what their goals or obstacles are.
The better you know your audience, the more effective youâll
be at creating products and services that theyâll walk
through fire to buy.
The âWhoâ is the market youâre catering to. The people
youâre serving. You need to dig deep so you know as much
about them as possible.
So, how do you do it?
Facebook groups make it easy by giving you the ability to
run polls or to set up Q & A sessions. So begin there.
Itâs an easy way to get a feel for who your market really is.
What:
This is where you decide what youâre going to offer your group.
It boils down to the type of content you plan to create and
the formats in which youâll offer it. Again, going back to
knowing your audience, once you have a clear understanding
of who your market is, youâll know what kind of content is
likely to resonate with them.
And finally, the Why.
Why did you create a Facebook group?
Knowing your objectives, outlining your action plan and
identifying your primary goals are all important steps in
creating a Facebook group that is destined for success.
While itâs important that you first focus on connecting with
your audience and boosting engagement whenever possible, you
also need to benefit from the group.
You arenât going to spend a lot of time working on managing
and growing it if it doesnât pay off, right?
So begin by creating a business plan that encompasses your
group. Find ways of incorporating your business goals into
your group activity.
Link, align and network other business ventures youâre involved
in so that the group serves a clear purpose: to help you expand
your outreach, increase visibility and connect with your market.
In tomorrowâs email, weâll talk about how to boost engagement
within your group so youâre not doing all the heavy lifting.
Until then,
